Brown Sugar Beauti Expo

Last weekend I had the pleasure of attending my first Brown Sugar Beauti expo at the Houston Museum of African American Culture - Houston, TX.  This was a wonderful event packed with pampering at every turn!  Hair salons such as Natural Souls Hair Cottage and Zayd's Naturally Natural Hair Studio offered hair consultations and stylings throughout the evening.  

Guests enjoyed complimentary manicures by Colour Nail Bar and massages from Magnificent Mobile Massage, Massage Express and Euphoric Touch Mobile Massage and complimentary makeovers by LAMIK, Kim Clark Artistry and other beauty brands.

Giveaways flowed throughout the evening and a lavish Beauty Goodie Buffet was a much anticipated highlight for attendees!  Guests filled their Brown Sugar Beauti Expo gift bags with complimentary items from the unlimited buffet.  "I’ve always been addicted to hair, makeup, beauty products, etc.  I started my beauty blog - BrownSugarBeauti.com - in 2011 to share my passion with other beauty enthusiasts." says event founder Grace Fraser.  "After noticing a lack of beauty events in the Houston area, I envisioned creating an “all things beauty” event for local beauty enthusiasts and businesses to partake in."

I can hardly wait for the next event from Brown Sugar Beauti and hopefully you'll get to experience it in a city near you soon.  "People should definitely expect bigger and better, meaning a larger venue, more vendors and businesses, big sponsors, big names in entertainment and a bigger Beauty Goodie Buffet with more awesome, free products! We have plans to take Brown Sugar Beauti on the road, whether it be an expo or tour with beauty industry pros.
